Volunteers & Staff
The Festival of Nations is built by people who love this scene.
Dance the festival, and help make it happen.
Volunteer or Staff, you choose
The festival runs on people who love this scene. Pick the commitment that fits you: a few shifts between socials, or a core team role at the center of it all.
Volunteer
The heart of the festival
12 hours across the festival
3 to 4 shifts of about 3 hours, spread across the 4 festival days. The 1 hour online coordination meeting and the 1 hour training count toward your 12 hours. We assign the shifts based on your availability, and you can request a change to one of them. You dance the rest of the time.
What you get
- Full Pass (€139 on Kadens) fully refunded after the festival
- BGF 2026 T-shirt or top
- Goodies bag
- Access to the official pre-parties with artists, ambassadors and staff
- Free cloakroom
- 1 drink voucher
Who we look for
- Motivation and good energy: no special skills needed, we read every application and select
- Availability across the festival days, so we can schedule your 3 to 4 shifts
- English and/or French are nice to have, and every extra language helps
Staff
The core team
24 hours across the festival
Around 5 to 6 hours per day across the 4 days, with the online meeting and training hour counted in. A bigger commitment, with bigger responsibilities and bigger perks.
What you get
- Free Full Pass (no ticket purchase needed)
- Hotel nights in a shared triple room at the Ibis Budget, right across from Palexpo (one night per worked day)
- No hotel needed? CHF 63 paid per worked day instead, ideal if you live in the Geneva area
- Free access to the lunch room (meals, snacks and drinks)
- BGF 2026 T-shirt or top
- Goodies bag
- Access to the official pre-parties with artists, ambassadors and staff
- Free cloakroom
- 4 drink vouchers
Who we look for
- Experience with responsibility in festivals or event organizations
- Proactive people who spot problems before they happen and own the fix
- Availability across all 4 days (a rest day is possible: that hotel night is simply not covered)
- English and/or French are nice to have
Your pass, free if you deliver
Volunteers buy a Full Pass like everyone else, and get it fully refunded once their hours are done. It keeps the commitment real on both sides: you show up for the team, the festival pays for your weekend. The pass must be bought on Kadens, so we can release the refund directly on your order.
Buy your Full Pass on Kadens
The €139 Full Pass, the cheapest rate. It has to be on Kadens: that is what lets us release the refund later.
Complete your hours
Work your 3-4 assigned shifts; your supervisor validates them during the festival.
Get it back
The refund is unlocked automatically after the festival.
Already have a pass from another platform? We refund it and you rebuy on Kadens, so the automatic release works. Staff do not buy a ticket at all, their access is part of the team deal.
Pick your department
In the application you tell us your first and second choice. We match people to departments based on preferences, languages and experience, and we keep everyone in one or two areas maximum, so you can really learn your role and own it.

How it works
Dates are approximate, and the shift schedule stays subject to adjustments until the festival: in this context, changes happen.
Apply on Kadens
Until 16 August
Tell us who you are, your experience, your motivation and when you are available. Volunteers: your Full Pass must be bought on Kadens (€139), only Kadens ticket holders can be accepted.
We read and select
By 26 August
Applications are reviewed by the team: motivation, experience and availability count more than speed. Everyone gets an answer.
Schedule & coordination
Draft week of 31 August
You get your area (one or two maximum, so you can really own your role) and a first draft of your 3-4 shifts; you can request a change to one of them. One mandatory online coordination meeting per area (about 1 hour, counted toward your hours), with two schedule options so everyone can make it.
Festival week
8-11 October
On the first day of your shift, your area lead gives you a hands-on training (about 1 hour, also counted toward your hours). Then work your shifts with your team and dance the rest. Your supervisor confirms your completed hours as you go.
Refund unlocked
After the festival
Once the festival ends and your hours are validated, your Full Pass refund is released automatically. That simple.
